Happy cruiser

I just booked an Alaska cruise for my family in August. I'm so happy!! Every cruise I have lost weight. I eat all that beautiful protein and spend hours walking and hot tubbing and napping and looking at the water.

My 14 year old son is happy about eating all the food he wants. He says we are dessert deficient in our home.

It's all good. I'm so excited!

me too! You cna choose delicious but healthy foods on cruises. There can be lots of hidden exercise too (swimming, walking the ship, taking the stairs, the excursions).

Enjoy your trip!

That's awesome! The only cruise I've ever been on (when I was 14) was to Alaska, and I loved it. Glacier Bay is gorgeous. My husband wants to go on one next year. I'm glad to know it's possible to eat well on a cruise ship after RNY. Thanks for sharing!

We're going on a Caribbean cruise in November, and I'm so excited to try climbing Dunn's River falls in Jamaica. We've been on this same cruise several times (it's easy bc we only have to drive to the port) and hubby has mentioned doing that excursion over the years, but I always said it would be too hard. Well, by then I'll be ten months out and a whole lot lighter--I'm already looking forward to it!

Driving to the port is the best. That's why we keep going to Alaska. The bonus is that it's so beautiful.

Good luck in Jamaica.  Tha****erfall is tough on everyone. The best vacation I ever took was 3 weeks in a house on the beach in Jamaica with a maid and a cook. I have never known such relaxation!

I love cruising! We are taking our second Alaska cruise in September and taking my dad for his first.  This will be the first time I cruise post-op, so we'll see how I handle the crazy abundance of food.  We did a big Canadian road trip last year and I did fine, so I think I'll be okay.  :D

I am really excited to do the things I couldn't before such as zip lining!  We were looking at all of the excursions and I was below the weight limit on all of the ones that were tagged as such.  Our ship (NCL Sun) doesn't have the fancy rock walls and features of the mega-ships, but I'm sure I'll still get to do plenty.  :D

Have a wonderful time!  Alaska is mesmerizing!
