I just bought some and they look bigger than I expected. The bottle says "new look". I am not sure if they are referring to the bottle or that the pill shape is different. They are rectangle and about the size of a pez candy. I thought that after RNY we are not supposed to take any pills that are much bigger than a tic tac...? Or is that just in the first few weeks?

I take the regular CitraCal.. I don't bother with Petites, I had to take more of them.  Swallow what you are comfortable with.

I've began taking calcium citrate 315 mg tablets when I was 3 weeks post-op (was instructed that by my MD). They do dissolve. Immediate post-op, your pouch/stoma are swollen from the surgery, so it is possible for it to get stuck.

My NUT said just dissolve the petites in a little water and add to protein shakes. Total dose in a day is 6 tabs ( 250 mg per tab, so 6 tabs to get in 1500 mg calcium) . So I dissolve 2 at a time with each shake.
