4 days post op

i had my surgery 4 days ago and how soon should I expect a bowel movement. Sorry for tmi just wanted to know . I feel really good except for the gas pain every now and then. Thank you in advance for your responses.

I had the same issue.. My doc said don't go more than 3 days or you will be miserable.  They recommended Colace and Miralax, morning and night till I went.  It worked for me.

It really depends.  I was on clears for 2 week's. I had bowel movement the morning before surgery day of, then i think 5 days after. My Dr said it takes some people a little longer for their bowels to wake up from all the med post op. Keep in mind they were moving stuff around in there. Hope this helps. 

hi I am 7 days out  ,  I was worried!  But I had a bm on day 5.     I felt like celebrating!
