I have been averaging between 650-750 a day. I wonder if this is too much this early?

I wrote some down at my two month mark a couple weeks ago:

I was eating four small meals a day, and getting about 500-600 calories per day, tracking everything in MFP. I was eating about 3-5 oz of yogurt (3 if I measured it, 5 if I ate a Light and Fit), and 2 oz of meat, with only 1 oz of chicken breast at a time; everyone is right: it sits heavily in the pouch. Instead she wants me to do something I find much harder: eat more at a time and less frequently. I've been doing this for a few days now and it ends up with me having breakfast around 11AM or noon and then not being hungry for 6+ hours. I'm only to eat when I'm hungry as well (which I was doing before with the smaller meals; I was getting hungry more often because I was eating so little at a time). This means a couple of evenings I've eaten too much supper too early because I was so tired of waiting to be hungry! This doesn't mean I'm eating massive amounts at a meal now that they are larger, but a typical meal will now be 3-5 oz of greek yogurt or 3 oz of cottage cheese, 1-2 oz of meat and 1/2-1 cheese stick if I can manage it. I was afraid not tracking each and every mouthful would result in overeating, but I see that right now it's pretty much impossible. I will continue to try this method for another week or two and see how it helps with my stamina.

between 550 and 750 depending on what the choices were. You can have the same volume of food but depending on what you are choosing the calories vary.

I'm a little over 7 weeks out and according to MFP I am averaging between the high 500's- to low 700's depending on what I eat and if I get in 3 meals and 2 snacks a day. Most days I only make a total of 4 a day. I consider about all of them snacks....lol

I make protein shakes most morning now and that starts me out with 35 grams of protein and 215 calories. My problem is I really never get hungry. I have to keep remembering it's time to eat!

I eat pickled eggs, light babybel light cheese, 1% cottage cheese, fish, tuna, yogurts, green beans, beets canned chicken, meatballs, shrimp things like this.

Thanks everyone. It sounds like I am not too far off. I think I have been trying to eat to much because my plan allows 1000-1200 at this point, but that sounds way too high.

DeterminedDiva - THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for posting this thread.  I'm almost 30 days out and have been stressing that I've been consuming too many calories.  I've been staying in the high 500's/mid 600's and was worried that I was doing it wrong.  I've only lost 2 lbs. this past week and was worried that maybe my pouch was broken or the surgery didn't take!  LOL.  I've lost a total of 32 lbs since my pre-op diet and surgery - YEAH!  I've been eating 3 meals with protein first and then a little steamed veggy or a simple carb & 2 snacks a day and have been meeting at least 70-80 gms of protein a day and 80-100 oz of water per day.  I seriously need to chill out and enjoy this journey.
