What's On Your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?
The sky is blue here...BLUE! But I am chained to my des****il 5. At which time I am sure the sky will get gray and the rain will start! UGH
Right now I just cannot get sick of anything not sweet! HAHA
3 weeks 1 day post op
B: 1/2 roasted veggie Boca burger with 1/8 cup reduced fat cheddar cheese
L: 1/2 cup turkey chili with 1/4 cup reduced fat cheddar
S: 1 cup 1% milk with 1 scoop protein powder
D: Turkey sausage and veggie frittata
Totals: Cals: 599 Protein: 76 Carbs: 31 Fat: 21
Breakfast did NOT go well this morning. I ate slow and chewed like crazy. But it felt stuck again. ugh Had to run to the bathroom, I almost got sick. Maybe the veggie burger was too dry?? I dont know.
Also....do my calories seem to high? I don't know...
Sorry to hear that your breakfast didn't go well. Maybe your pouch is not ready for veggies? Early out when something didn't agree with me I would try it again in a few weeks. I wasn't told to monitor my calories at all just my protein but since I plug it all in to MFP I knew roughly what I was getting and I would say it was somewhere around 500 or so at that stage. Just my two-cents.
I may have missed it, but recipe please for Buffalo Chicken Salad... Woke up this morning and my allergies are screaming... ugh.. and I am going to the PCP for my follow up to going off my High Blood Pressure meds... hope doesn't make my BP go up.... Yesterday I felt like I was a bottomless pit... Mostly it was all good what I was eating, just couldn't stop grazing...
B: Premier Protein
S: Cantelope, yogurt
L: Chicken Veggie soup with added Protein Powder
S: Protein Bar
D: Celery and Peanut butter, maybe another yogurt. (It will be late after support group)
E: 45 minutes on Rebounder Trampoline

Here's my variation:
1 can chicken breast, drained
small container (I think it's like 6 oz?) of plain Greek yogurt
4 oz. crumbled bleu cheese
1/2 packet of Ranch seasoning
diced celery and onion, S&P and as many dashes of Frank's as I feel like.
So good.
ETA: This lasts me all week; less if I have to share.
Thanks, this looks so yummy... I think I have all the ingredients....

Morning! The weather is about the same here! Hope to get a good run in this afternoon. I just wanted to give a little intro about myself since I posted later yesterday... My name is Megan, and I'm 26. I had my surgery this past July. I've never really recorded my food because for some reason I just HATE doing it... But I've hit a plateau (the PA at the doctor's office says I've reached maintenance- but I'm determined to prove her wrong), so I've decided to start recording in myfitnesspal (add me!!: Meganmcg843/[email protected]) and posting on here! I've been reading the post almost everyday since before surgery anyway and get so many great ideas from you gals. Anyway- I'm a Speech Pathologist and work in several different schools. I've found that I enjoy running and since surgery I've ran two 5ks with a personal best time of 28:30, and this past Saturday I ran a 10k with a time of 1hr 5 minutes.. Not great, but there was a HUGE hill that slowed me down!! And onto the menu for today:
Breakfast: Coconut mocha protein shake (1 scoop quest chocolate milkshake protein blended with donut shop coconut mocha k cup and ice... so yummy)
Snack: Light and fit greek strawberry cheesecake mixed with tbsp. chia seeds and tbsp. fiber one original cereal; almonds; cashews
Lunch: deli ham rolled with cheese; light cheese stick
Dinner: TBD; probably a scrambled egg with a slice of cheese and 1/2 c cottage cheese
Exercise: Must go for a run outside!!
Vitamins/water: 2 rounds of vitamins down; water going down well- usually try to get it all in at work, then what I get at home after is an added bonus!
