Adding veggies in

I'm one month post-op and have been cleared for a full diet.  I've had some trouble with veggies, and am wondering how you added them back to your diet.  At what point can I eat salad again?  What are some ways I can get veggies in?

My first were baby carrots cooked in chicken broth until soft. I started with one :) And yes, even though they're soft you still have to chew, just not as much.

Same carrots cooked soft, sliced zucchini cooked in a bit of chicken broth was delicious, cucumbers were my cracker/bread: http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/2011/07/cucum ber-crackers.html

If you have a powerful blender Ninja, Vitamix etc... toss some veggies in with your protein shakes. I just made a few the other day with frozen carrot and spinach couldn't tell at all... http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/2015/04/celeb rate-earth-day-whole-lotta-shakin.html

Salad varies from Dr to Dr... I was cleared at 8 weeks... though you get through a leaf or 3 after you eat whatever protein so LOL it's not quite a "salad" in the beginning.

Just go gently with it all. I didn't opt for salads for quite a long time - I missed them! - but started with steamed veggies. Your body will let you know what you can tolerate, and I believe that our "cravings" guide us too. If salad is on your list, try a bite or two of lettuce and see how it sits!
