What's on Your (photo) Friday Menu, RNYers?
I am so ready for some spring like weather. I got my shorts and short sleeved shirts ready to go and have not been able to wear them but two or three days. Today it is even dark and gloomy with rain forecast for later. Today's outfit is a pair of light colored wanna betta butt jeans with a black two layer JLo brand shirt that I saw at Kohls for $60 and I got at Goodwill for $3.99. Much better price. I don't wear black that much anymore but this is gauzy and feminine looking so I do like it. No big plans for the weekend but may see if I can find some yard sales to hit up. Lily and I will head out to the park for our three miles after I make a quick run to Walmart. I will also do another 2.5 miles on the treadmill and 25 minutes on the bike. On track with vitamins and fluids and weight at 119.8 today. Here's the food plan: B 1/2 c steel cut oats with nuts and half a banana with peanut butter L will be on the road so a protein bar D 31/2 oz ground sirloin and 1/2 c winter mix veggies(doing pork steaks for hubby and son who will be home for the weekend but pork steaks are just too fatty for me and leave me feeling yucky). Have a great weekend everyone!
Good Morning and a Happy Friday to all. No exciting plans for the weekend it is supposed to rain all day tomorrow so we shall see. I wanted to share that I had my "annual" appt with a new doc yesterday afternoon and when they took my BP both the nurse and dr commented on great the #'s were (105/70) I can't remember EVER hearing that!!
Although I am posting a pic, it's not a selfie of this morning (it's one of the tank tops I bought that I was so excited about-I am not brave enough to wear it out of the house yet) so I am in a white sweater with red and blue stripes and denim capris (dress down day so we can clean for a visit we are having from an executive next Tues) and my throw back chuck taylor all star converse red/white/blue slip ons that show off my toe ring I got last weekend-Fun!

Hi Everybody,
Happy Friday. The only thing I have planned for the weekend is exercise and family time. Maybe grilling out if the weather is a little warmer. I would grill in the 50's if it gets that warm, hoping. Anything that is grilled sounds good to me.
AV, I just noticed you have a morning snack but no others, do you get hungry after dinner? I do, so I always incorporate an evening snack. I have just placed an order from Nashau Nutrition and Amazon. I am going to try to change up my menu next week. I am going to go back to drinking a protein drink in the morning for breakfast (protein hot chocolate and Chike coffee) finally tried chike coffee and liked it. I am not really hungry for the first few hours I am awake, so drinking my breakfast sounds like a good idea. It also leaves me with a few extra calories for the day. We will see... I finally finished my food diet to see what I have a reaction to, milk and milk products (I knew this) sometimes lactaid pills work and sometimes they don't. I love cheese so this is an issue for me. Now the Dr wants me to try like one day greek yogurt, see how it goes and then try another milk product. I am not going to go without cheese, I love it. Grrrrr, gotta find a way to get the protein.
I am wearing grey pajama pants with Christmas trees and snowflakes, a stained shirt navy blue, and a green zip up sweat shirt because I am cold. My clothes are to big but I sleep in them. Going to take a shower in a minute. Then put on some clothes that fit :)
6 months out
B ham, cheese and egg bake, coffee
L Turkey chili, maybe a couple crackers
D new york strip 3oz, green beans
S string cheese light and maybe skinny pop tonight
Cal 818, Prot 71, Carbs 54
W/V going in
E walking or biking gotta get in those 11,000 steps
Have a good weekend all
I usually eat dinner on the late side (like 7 or 8) so I don't find that I'm hungry before bed.
Your pajamas sound like mine. LOL
My photos aren't cooperating with my iPad. I did sneak a selfie, but can't get it. I'm sitting at a rather boring conference. I'm wearing a short dress with leggings :) I've been at this conference since Tuesday night. Lots of eating out. I have made decent choices for the most part. But I know I've been getting too much sodium and too many calories. I only made it to the gym once, but we did a good bit of walking yesterday. Anyway, I feel fat. Last night I had to remind myself that I'm wearing size 14 jeans.
My plan for the weekend is to exercise a lot and drink protein shakes for a couple of days to reset myself. I don't think it's a "fad" situation, just a need to not have choices for a couple of days. I'm also going to work on my menu for next week and shop. I WILL be sticking to the plan next week :). I'm ready to knock out the next 20 pounds.
have a great weekend everyone!

Hi ladies! Thank god its the weekend!! Work has been exploding at the seams, I have been putting in 14 hour days and I need some sleep and relaxation! I try to read everyone's posts daily but as of late I have not been able to get on-line, just too busy and I miss you all! AV, have a blast at your son's baseball game, my hubby is starting his baseball season this weekend and we are going to his game on Sunday, looking forward to it!
This is my selfie from last Saturday, hubby and I were on our way to meet up with friends we have not seen in years, like 5-6 years so needless to say the conversation at dinner was centred around me and my WLS and all that stuff. I am getting more comfortable talking about it to people, for me I feel shame that I let myself get to 250lbs and needed WLS so its a very emotional topic for me.
