Reached a goal today I NEVER thought I would!
Hi everyone,
I hope all is well here! I am not on nearly as much as I'd like. Today I got on the scale and it was 199.0. When I started this journey I was 350 lbs, and I literally never thought I would be in the 100s again for the rest of my life. I felt stuck, and sick of trying when nothing worked. This was the best decision I have ever made in my life, and I feel like the person now that I always felt like I was on the inside. Things are not perfect, but they are a hell of a lot better.
Still trainign 3x a week, heavy weights and occasionally the stairmaster, but very little cardio in general. I take my vitamins everyday, and focus on getting 80g of protein a day, which is very difficult sometimes.
I think it is very important to have your own support system in this journey. I have my team of my surgeon, my nutritionist, my therapist, and my trainer, who are all so important to me and I see them religiously. I see all of these elements as tools for success, not just to get to goal, but to get a healthy lifestyle.
Here is a before and after :)
9 months post op (151 lbs down):
Pre-op:
Congrats! Wow! You dont even look like the same person! The smile is the same but that is about it.
The post-op hair color and style also really suits you!
I hope people are hitting on you left and right!

Three pounds below Goal!!! Yay !
" felt stuck, and sick of trying when nothing worked."
I felt the SAME WAY. My boss thinks MARRIAGE has caused my mental transformation. I think he is daft. I mean, how happy/successful can one feel when they are constantly trying, failing, and basically whacking their head against a wall? It colors EVERYTHING!
So, I am so happy things are going well for you! Go forward
PS. I lift weights too. But i do light weight high rep. I really cant get over how transfomative weight lifting is for women. I used to be pear shaped but now I am an X shape (i.e. a faux hourglass) because I have really worked at building my shoulders and back to balance my hips. I look cut but not masculine.
