It is a bummer to let a bag at the store! Or, as I usually do, the one item you really need somehow gets left in the cart and you don't realize it until you get home!

Yesterday's menu went to pot because I went out to eat with co workers. My numbers were okay but it threw me off! I think I am going to have to get some of those protein shots because I struggle getting my protein in... my hair is probably going to look like crap soon... no loss yet but I know it is coming. Please any suggestions on how to get more protein are welcomed!

Today's menu:

B: Light and Fit greek yogurt, Cherry

L: 3.75 ozs of leftover hamburger steak, from K & W Cafeteria

D: Starkist Tuna Salad pouch, 1/4 cup cucumbers with a little 3 cheese ranch dressing

S: 1/2 Quest apple pie protein bar, 1 oz. deli ham with a touch of mustard

Totals:  Calories - 607, Protein - 63, Carbs - 30 (yay!)

Highest weight - 440 lbs, Surgery weight - 395 lbs, Current weight - 291 lbs.

Good Morning All,

This will be a quick post for me, but welcome to all the new people (or at least people who are new to contributing) :)

Time since surgery: 15 months today

B - String cheese & 1/2 pack of protein granola

L - Work lunch day (likely the insides of a sandwich, no bread)

D - TBD (I didn't make it to the store last night), but I am going to this middle eastern market with a friend, so likely chicken kabob and some hummus (my favorite)

W/V - Forgot my vit's this morning, thank god for this post...I'm correcting that as we speak

E - Kickboxing...work has been crazy lately, I have some aggression I need to release :)

Have a great Wed everyone!

Me too!  I wi**** was lower in carbs...I've played around with some "low carb" hummus options (esp. at Trader Joe's), but it's just not the same.  So I try to only eat it once a week and in small portions, but I LOVE it and always have to find room for it on my menu somewhere :)

Have you tried edemame hummus? I make it at home and really like it.

I know I am most days late to the party, so I don't post... but today I decided to anyway. :)  One time I thought I left my bag at the store, they didn't have it but they let me pick out the things again and take them home... then I discovered it was in the trunk of my car but had slid under something else in there. oops...

B: 2 cups tea and half and half

L: Bowl of chicken veggie soup with added protein powder (Genepro, 1 tbsp = 30g), 1 chobani kids chocolate dust yogurt tube

S: almonds, premier protein

D: Chicken sausage and grilled onions

S: cheescake flavored yogurt with whipped cream

E: 45 min on rebounder trampoline

Is Genepro as good and tasteless as they say?

yes, nothing is perfectly tasteless.. but it is as close as you will come. I haven't been using it the last couple of months and just got back my bloodwork and my protein is low... so I am going to start adding it to things again. I guess I thought further out I could just rely on food as some people say, but I guess not for me. I like that you can mix it directly into hot things like soup... like I did today.... also the small volume - 1 TBSP - makes it easier to mix into things.
