What's On Your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
I am LMAO at your "flying squirrel arms" simile. I could probably take flight in a brisk wind, myself.
Hi Everyone,
Congrat's AV on the 125 pounds down, all I can say is "WOW", great job.
I would like to get plastics but I can't afford it. You are so brave. I also don't know if I should go under gas again and have another surgery. My insurance is suppose to pay for something if you have a rash(s), under your breasts or stomach on a regular basis. My Dr has seen me for that for at least a couple of years now, so I do have it documented. Who knows? I, like Karen, do not have any rich relatives leaving me money, I could win the lottery :)
OH, has been a great resource for me and I have felt I have made some online friends that are supportive and knowledgeable of what I am going through.
Ok, so this is the time I should say, yesterday I was to add wheat to my diet and I got hungry last night. All I wanted to do was snack/graze, I ate 3 graham crackers, they have wheat. So yes, to who ever asked about wanting to eat/snack at night. Its not like that every day thank God, but I do. Sigh. Now I am going to save a snack for night for sure, need to fit it in my menu.

Hi Everyone! Trying to get my post here earlier. Joined my gym's "Biggest Loser" a little over a week ago. It is a program that groups people together with a trainer for 16 sessions and the person that loses the most weight in the end wins a year free gym membership. I am pushing to lose this last 50lbs so I think all the information I am learning from the trainer and the exercise is a huge plus! I tried my first spin class today. I just peddled through it and did adjust the resistance but couldn't do the standing and peddling part yet. I made it half way through..my rear end was killing me! I ordered some protein chips from Quest the nutrition break down is for a serving - 120 cal/2g fat/5g carb/21g protein. Waiting for them to come in and incorporate them into my diet. I also saw yesterday someone mention Mr. Cheese O's and those look interesting..might try those later!
B1- Chike Protein Coffee
B2- L&F Greek Yogurt BlueberryLunch- Quest Cinnamon Roll & String Cheese
Dinner- Daisy 2% Cottage Cheese 1/2 cup and iceberg lettuce with Skinny girl basalmic vinegar dressing 4 TBSP
Snack- KIND Mini Bar
W/V- Both are well underway Exercise- Did 30 mins of my first cycling class today and will do 1 hour with my training group tonight
Calories- 647 Carb- 61g Fat-16.5g Protein-74g
Have a great day!
Hi Tracy - I have found that the Quest chips don't taste great :( Their stats are great, so I use them as a vehicle for tuna salad or chicken salad. Like, instead of a cracker. The tuna or chicken masks the weird protein taste.
I love the Mr. O's cheese crisps from amazon, and I also love the Kay's Naturals honey mustard jalapeño sticks from amazon.
I have tried so many random protein foods, but those two from amazon and the Pure Protein chocolate salted caramel protein bars and most of the Quest bars from netrition.com are my favorite "snacks". I try to eat regular food more than packaged food, but sometimes you have to grab something on the go :)
I love that you could win a year gym membership! What an awesome motivator!
Thank you so much Dcgirl for responding. I have had major difficulties from the beginning of my post op that continue today. Unfortunately, I can not tolerate any meat (no matter how it is prepared- my pouched does not accept it) and the only protein shake I have found that I can tolerate so far is the Chike coffee. The closest I come to "regular" food is cottage cheese, oatmeal, salad, cheese and fruits I can tolerate. Thankfully I have found some products lately that have been working for me and helping me along. I am looking forward to the day I can tolerate more regular food! Until then I am trying these great suggestions. Thank you!!!
