Hello and good morning!  I just want to share that as of this morning, I am down 125 lbs since was last pre-op weigh-in.    It seems kind of crazy, because I am just over 40 lbs from my goal.  To be honest, I just picked my goal because I wanted something on my ticker and because it would put me in the "normal weight" BMI category; my surgeon didn't ask for one.  It didn't seem possible at the time, but now I really think I can do it.  I am so thankful for this tool and for MFP for helping me track.  However, I give so much credit and big thanks to all of you.  Everyone is so open and honest with sharing your menus and experiences.  And the amount of encouragement that flows through this post every day is amazing.  Group hug!  *ahem*

But you know where my focus is now?  Plastics, baby!  I'm stalking the plastic surgery boards and looking at like a million and one before and afters.  Also, I am so inspired by Em's success and openness about her surgery and recovery and bikini shopping.  LOL  I'm going to start researching/planning/saving because I want to get 'er done (LBL, BL, arms...is there an abbreviation for that?) next year.  *squeeee!*  Is anyone else thinking about plastics?

Time since surgery:  9 months tomorrow!

B:  coffee with milk and a Friendship Fit to Go 4% with some Good Bean chili lime chickpeas on top

S:  Click Mocha

L:  Another turkey sammich!  You guys, this was so good yesterday that I'm having it again.  I was totally satisfied and wasn't hungry for hours.  2 slices Delightful whole wheat (toasted), 2 oz., deli turkey, slice Colby jack and a Laughing Cow herb and garlic wedge.  And 10 grapes.  haha

D:  2 oz. hamburger (sun's out, grill's out!) a la Holstein style!  I find hamburgers, although tasty, can be pretty tough on my fuel tank.  But...that runny egg yolk is like nature's dipping sauce and is totally delicious.

TOTALS:  Cals:  879  Protein:  83  Carbs:  59  Fat:  37

Have a wonderful day my friends!

I am at the beginning of my weight loss journey, so plastics are FAR off in my mind.  BUT I don't think we could ever afford them.  My husband says we will figure it out when the times comes.....buuuut unless he has some rich relative somewhere I dont know about, then I think I will just have to put up with the saggy skin ;)

1 week 3 days since surgery

B: 8 oz 1% milk, 1 scoop Syntrax Vanilla Bean Torte protein powder and 5 ice cubes

L: 1/4 cup L&F greek coconut yogurt

D: Same protein shake as breakfast probably.  I cannot stand most of the protein shakes...YUCK.  This one isn't bad

S: Probably some beef broth.  I NEED something that isnt all sweet sweet sweet in my day or I may go crazy!! LOL  Maybe a sugar free popsicle

Totals: Cals: 438 Protein: 67 Carbs: 27 Fat: 8

This is the first time I have posted since surgery on the 6th! Surgery went well, all I did in the hospital was SLEEP, drink a little and walk.  LOTS of sleeping!! lol  The Thursday after my surgery was the worst day ....wicked nauseous, i threw up once, very dizzy, so much pain.  Probably was very dehydrated!  But then I stopped taking the any pain meds the next day and got in all my protein and liquids and I have felt great ever since!  Some pain when I bend over or twist my torso, but not bad at all.  I go back to work on Monday....ugh.  Not that I dont think I can do it, I just kind of hate my job! haha

Thank you!!  I came home like 12 lbs higher then I went into surgery.  Took a week to get back to where I was when I went to the hospital.  But have finally started losing!

Also, I cannot wait until next week when I can start eating different foods!  I am NOT  a sweets person, and its hard to find things during this liquid/soft foods phase that isnt sweet!!  YUCK hahah

Congrats on being on the other side!  Sounds like you're doing well!  I had plastics three weeks ago and came home 10 lbs heavier.  The surgeon says they put 14 liters of fluids through me, so it makes sense.  Don't even look at the scale for a week or so.  You're eating 500 calories a day - trust me, you're gonna lose.

I was obsessed with Chike high protein coffee protein powder from Amazon for about my first year.  It's sweet but also has a tiny bite from coffee so it was good.

Once you graduate to soft foods and purees, you have other savory options.  I loved low fat ricotta cheese with Italian spices added.  As well as chicken broth!  I also got tired of having sweet food for a month.  I didn't want sweets for about a year but now I enjoy them again.  Sigh...

Yay Kristen!  125 lbs!  SO awesome!!!!  You should be so proud to be so close to goal.  You can totally do it.

I weighed 150 this morning, (down 218 from my highest ever weight and down 201 from my surgery day!!!) which is a BMI of 25.7.  A normal BMI is 24.9.  I know my dexa scan shows me at under 20% body fat, but there is this weird mental thing where I want to weigh 145 (normal) for one day and then continue to maintain at 150-160 ha ha.

Today is my 16 month surgiversary and tomorrow I am 3 weeks post plastics.  Kristen, read the plastics board, save your money, and keep the dream alive!  I LOVE LOVE LOVE my results and seriously the pain and time off was a tiny blip on my radar.  I was out last night (in new size 6 jeans!) with people I used to work with and of course everyone was complimentary, and I just felt great.  I know not everyone can afford plastics, and I could have lived with the saggy skin, but I feel fortunate that I was able to lift and tighten.  I feel like plastics is also sort of an insurance policy for me.  I did NOT spend that money and survive the abdominal pain to gain back 50 lbs.  This is what I hope, at least :)  Well, hope and work everyday in maintenance, I should say.

Anyway, I have a job interview today (I am not in the market for a job but they are recruiting me so why not meet them) and I feel so confident going to the interview whereas two years ago...well I would have put on a brave smile but walked in knowing I was going to be the biggest person in the room...

Time Since Surgery: 16 months today

B: Light and fit greek yogurt with granola, two coffees with half and half

L: Ground chicken patty with one tbsp of pizza sauce and a slice of pepperjack cheese

S: Mr. O's crispy cheese snacks.  I love these!

D: Wild card.  Meeting the trainers from my gym for happy hour so I may eat before, I may eat at the bar or I may eat after

Have a great day, everyone!
