so i had my surgery on 4/9/15 with no complications. the first few days were hard due to the pain. my only real complaint now is the pain on my left side on one of my incisions, the incision is slightly dented. i did donate some of my fat to research but i am not sure if that is where they took it out. is it normal to have your limbs feel like they are asleep? this happens to me sometimes. i have been walking but probably not as much due to the pain on my left side, i also still have alot of gas. the sleeping limbs are concerning me because they are frequently but not constant.

Congratulations on being on the other side...and on your journey. I had a dent at one of my incisions too...it is gone now. Walking will get the gas out... I can't address the 'sleeping limbs' ... You should be going for your first pre-op visit soon, so make a list of questions including the sleeping limbs.

You can donate your fat to science??? Cool! I wonder if they would like about 80 pounds of mine? Sorry I can't give any advice on your pain except to call your surgeon and ask if you should be concerned. Chris

yeah the donation was to the hospital, they are looking at inflammation in fat prior to surgery and how the surgery will benefit obese people.. i will get extra vials of blood taken for the next year at my check ups and if i have another surgery within the next year they will take another sample of fat.
