Hi again. I also need help as to what foods, vitamins and eating utensils (plates, bowls, spoons etc.) to get, in order to help me with my various eating  & drinking stages.

Your NUT should tell you what vitamins and when they want you to start them. Mine did not have me start them all in the beginning. They add to what I have each visit. Others start you right away.  You really don't need any special utensils. Just measuring cups and spoons really help. You might also want a baby spoon so that you don't take to big of bites at a time. Ask your NUT for a list of things you will need.

Your program should tell you what vitamins to take and what foods they want you to eat. Surgeons have very different requirements for these things. I never bought baby utensils, but many people do. I really like small plates and bowls though. I just bought some plain white ones at Target for about $2 a piece. I also bought OXO tot baby blocks freezer storage containers, which have been the most helpful. They have 2 oz and 4 oz sizes. The 4 oz are perfect for packing lunches and dividing up leftovers for meals later. That way you have pre-measured portions waiting for you when you want something to eat. This is especially great if you want to freeze the leftovers. I also recommend a kitchen scale because weighing is way more accurate than measuring. It is far to easy to heap a measuring cup so that you can eat more without counting it.

I second the baby spoons. I forgot to get them before I went in to surgery and hubby had a lot of fun picking them out for me :)
