Body cleanse

has any body used like a colan cleanse? Is it safe after the surgery? Not right after surgery, but like a few months after. I'm thinking about doing a cleanse. 

FWIW: My surgeon was adamant that colon cleanses are not necessary before OR after WLS.

Here's an idea...read and follow advice on Zonechef's post from April 8th.  If you make some muffins using flax meal or oat bran, you're likely to get a colon cleanse. 

Why do you think a colon cleanse is a good idea? Does your doctor think so? 

Doing radical things to your body just for the heck of it isn't a good idea.

colon cleanses are fads. Our colon is perfectly adapted to cleanse themselves if we leave them alone.

I just loved {sarcasm} the commercial a couple of years ago that talked about how "many" people are carrying around "20 pounds or more" of material plastered to the walls of their intestines (and, of course, that buying their product would enable people to lose that "weight")!

If I ever wanted a cleanse, I'd eat a bag of sugar free gummy bears.
