Losing slow-ish, what were you eating early on?

I have a fitbit - said best friend gave me one for Christmas. I never used it but I still have it. I knew I was having the surgery so I kept it. I plan on using it once the pain stops being so bad.

I don't plan on trying pasta or rice for a long, long time if at all. I'm hoping quinoa works for me because I've always really liked it.

I have a lot of weight loss goals for after I lose the weight. So, so many. So I really need this to work!

Listen to DCGirl.  She's a major success and inspiration here

I'm not at goal yet, but I attribute it to my 400+ OG Elite Status    Plus I'm old, going through menopause, blahblahblah.  I am still losing weight, albeit slower than I was in the beginning.  CRACKERS are named that for a reason - they are pure CRACK to many of us.  The first time I ate crackers was the day before my colonoscopy and one of the things I was allowed to eat was saltine crackers.  I ate two full sleeves and never felt full.  They are the ultimate slider food and will be responsible for the decline of Western civilization.

I'm not so much addicted to saltine type crackers but other crackers YES they are my crack. Serious crack. My husband is obsessed with chocolate and he wanted to clear out the cupboards to not tempt me and I told him to not bother with the chocolate because that doesn't tempt me but to get rid of the damn triscuits!!!

I'm in surgical menopause even though I'm 33 and I think I have a high-ish weight too. So I am trying to manage my expectations. I have to say that I'm excited to try the cauliflower this week :) Going shopping tomorrow to pick up a lot of the suggestions in the thread. I've already implemented all the weighing suggestions.

Hey Krystal - I chronicled what I did to lose weight and follow my plan in a few posts that are all linked in my most recent post.  Good luck - the tool will work if you work the tool, I guess that's my advice :)  Everyday is a chance to make good or bad choices and some days I do better than others.
