I am in the mood for a little photo-whoring - from 369 to 150 and 3 weeks post plastics
Hi OH friends,
I woke up today and it's another cold and dreary day. I was dreading getting up and feeling really unmotivated. I need something to perk me up, and thinking about how tomorrow I am three weeks post LBL and BL and last night I took a seven mile walk to see the DC Cherry Blossoms, I thought, you know what? I am proud of how well I am doing. And I remember when I was pre-op, or even just weeks post-op and wondering if this would work for me and I loved loved loved before and after pics. So this post is going to make me happy, and maybe, just maybe, it will make one person feel excited about his or her upcoming journey.
So happy Thursday, it's almost the weekend, and here is my story below. I can hardly believe the difference in the old me vs. the new me. Pictures show the difference in how I look, but the energy I feel every single day in this lighter body (highest weight 369, RNY on 12/16/13 at 351, today 150) is the truly amazing transformation.
Good luck on YOUR journey and thanks in advance for the nice comments (I know how supportive y'all are so please don't take offense if I don't thank each and every one of you since I should, ya know, do some work today lol). I am a person who weighs everyday and at only 16 months post-op, I work every single day to avoid regain. And it is work - I am not one of those people who never thinks about food. I still love food and it's up to me to make good choices.

It's always exciting to see your progress Em.
A couple of years ago, could you imagine walking 7 miles? Just for the heck of it?

How about one year ago?! Honestly, I sometimes feel amazed every day, and sometimes it just feels like my normal life. I hope I never lose the feeling of wonderment.
And remember, you were my original inspiration on OH! I couldn't BELIEVE how much weight you had lost. It gave me hope. So, thanks :)
Congratulations! You do look amazing, and all your hard work and sacrifice has paid off!
I just had surgery on Monday 4/6, so for me the work has just begun. It's super inspiring to see stories and photos like yours. Thank you for sharing.
ETA: I cannot even walk 70 yards without major pain, so it happens only for an emergency! I can't wait to be free. :-)
