Happy Ten Year Easter-Surgiversary to Me!!!

How funny is it that my ten year rny surgiversary is on Easter Sunday, given chocolate and ice cream are the main cause of me needing wls in the first place.  Oh well, no candy or ice cream today.  I purposely chose to avoid both today just because it seemed wrong to eat them today, even though I missed my chocolate bunny breakfast I typically have.  I switched to just a plain coconut greek yogurt and sliced almonds.  I love this stuff and had a big glass of fresh iced tea and lemon.  I could live on this, basically I do sometimes.

Its been ten years, that is amazing, it seems like yesterday I was waiting to have surgery and now it is fast forward ten years at goal.  I am so grateful to having this life saving surgery, diabetes still in remission, wearing size 6, living life as a normal person who can do anything I want and not feel embarrassed or in pain.  Life is good.

Congratulations! You've worked very hard for your success, and I plan to do the same.  My surgery is tomorrow 4/6, and I hope the proximity to your anniversary date is an auspicious omen, or something to that effect. :-)

Enjoy your Easter-versary!

You look awesome.  I am almost 3 weeks out from surgery and every pound I lose I get so excited. I can’t wait till one day I can say it is my 1; 5 or 10 yr anniversary.

What kind of good advice you could give in order to be successful and to maintain it the weightloss.
