What's On Your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?
Good morning everyone. My early morning meeting was cancelled, so I am posting earlier than usual. My day started off on a happy note with The Rolling Stones announcing their North American tour dates. The closet they will come to me is San Diego, and I am thinking of going if I can score tickets. I am a HUGE Stones fan and have seen them live 11 times (yes, I said 11) in various cities in the West. People always ask me how many more times I am going to see them, and I always say "One more time then I already have."
When I eat out, I try to find things that I know I won't have a problem with. Usually a salad with protein and/or soup. Grilled fish is also a good choice for me. I had a great salad the other day and recreated it for my Dad last night. It was a Crab Citrus salad with butter lettuce, crab, avocado, sliced olives and grapefruit sections. I used a lemon vinaigrette to fini**** off. Delicious! I'm thinking a little shaved fresh fennel would be good on it too.

Good Morning All,
I am with Anny, Chipotle is my favorite as well. I think I love it for multiple reasons: 1. It's got pretty decent #'s for "fast food", 2. There are a ton of them around 3. It's 3 meals (which is like a mini NSV b/c I could eat a whole bowl, plus chips and guac pre-op and then be ready for another meal a few hours later...now I'm one of those girls who looks at the bowl and think "what am I going to do with all that food?" and I get a cheap thrill, lol) and 4. Most people like it so it's an easy sell when I'm with others. Also, I eat a ton of tuna tartar out at restaurants. In fact I had it last night. At least out in So Cal, it's always on the app menu and it usually comes with wonton chips. I'll not have any chips (or 1 or 2 at most) and eat all of the tuna (which also typically comes with avocado, another favorite of mine). That's my standard going out to eat dinner and I haven't been sick of it yet :) Plus, b/c it's an app, it's usually portion controlled and you get a cup max of it (usually less), so I can eat the whole plate if I'm hungry and not feel guilty.
Time since surgery: 14.25 months
B - Lean Cuisine breakfast sandwich (I was going to swear these off, but I realized I was a lot less hungry leading up to lunch when I was eating these, so I thought I'd try it again)
L - TJ's just grilled chicken strips and a yoplait greek yogurt (haven't tried yoplait brand yet, but I grabbed this instead of my trusty L&F last night on accident)
S - String Cheese
D - TBD (I'm thinking Italian Turkey Meatloaf from TJ's)
S - Yasso salted carmel bar (holy hell, how did I just discover these after seeing you all post about them?!?! I saw them last night at the store (the last box) decided to try them ate one and almost fainted at how good it was....this is my new favorite thing I think)
W/V - On track
E - Weight lifting tonight and maybe something horrible like burpees or jump rope to try and get a little cardio in...but we'll see how up for torture I am :)
Have a great day everyone!
Those salted caramel bars...I know right! The last time I bought a box I had to ask a very tall gentleman to grab the box for me because it was on the top shelf, all the way in the back, and I couldn't reach it. LOL I was not leaving Wegmans without them!
Seriously, I've never been so glad to be a dumper when I eat too much sugar b/c I easily could have had a second or third bar last night. OMG those things are good...do they come in other flavors that are equally delicious? I may start stalking local stores for them....I'm worried for myself, lol :)
haha...OMG, I LOVE mint choc chip. Let the super market stalking officially begin :)
