Good morning and a confession here too.  My mom has been staying with me for a week since my plastics and she uncomplainingly does EVERYTHING for me.  Fetches me drinks and food, vitamins and painkillers, bandages me up, adjusts my pillows, does my laundry, and even rearranged my kitchen.  She has been a GODSEND.  I seriously couldn't have done it without her.  Well yesterday we had a follow-up appointment at my surgeon and I drove there, but I was exhausted so she drove home.  Now, I know she is not used to a. driving in a city, b. driving a stick, or c. parallel parking.  Yet, my pain pills had worn off and when she rolled my wheel up on the curb I flipped out!  I was so mean!  Once we got inside and I took an oxycodone I apologized and she was super gracious about it, but I still feel bad that I was so mean to someone who has been so selfless and amazing!

As of today I have lost 8 or the 10 lbs I gained  during plastics.  Here is a pic from this morning.  If you ignore the swelling and the drains, since the incisions are covered, you can kind of see that I look like a person with a normal body.  I am seriously ecstatic.

B: Two coffees with light half and half, light and fit yogurt with high protein granola

L: Leftover tuna made with onions and light mayo

S: ?

D: We are going out with some of my friends!  I feel more than up to it, and my mom deserves to get out of the house.  Today I am exactly one week post-op LBL and BL and I feel back to normal except for getting tired doing easy tasks.

Last night I had an "I love my tool" night...mom and I have had a lot of tuna and chicken salad, salmon...all healthy and all protein.  We decided we felt like having wings.  I ordered 20 wings, a medium fries, and some deep fried ravioli.  I probably would have eaten all of this pre-op.  Well last night I had one ravioli and four wings.  I felt satiated, and I was done, and my wings craving was gone.  Thank god for RNY.

Have a great weekend, everyone!  Em

Em you look great, thanks for updating us.  I still wonder can I take the pain?  I am close to twice your age.
Again it is amazing the change in you.  You are so brave.

I have been watching your journey with envy. I know I will get to the point of having plastics eventually and I hope I end of being able to handle it as good as you!  You look great.

And, I am sure your Mom was okay with you yelling at her. Just hug her a bunch today.  She wants to help you; you are her baby. I bet she is so proud of you for your accomplishments.

Have fun tonight going out.
