I feel like I am losing too slow. I am 15 weeks out and I have only lost 6 lbs in 3 weeks. I get in my water 64-70oz and get about 65oz of protien and 600-700 calories. I dont know how many calories I burn through out the day. I work out 3-4 times a week, 1 hr each time. Workout includes 30 mins cardio and 30 mins weight lifting.

i have lost 61lbs since begining of preop.

I use my fitbit daily, and I use myfitness pal.

Suggestions please, I really need help. I feel that I am slowing down to fast. I know I was on the lighter side when I had surgery but come one this is to slow.

I have no suggestions, but I wanted you to know that I'm right there with you. After no loss one week, I actually gained the following week. I'm sure you've noticed how quickly others are losing. I have too! I try not to let it get in my head, but it's very hard. You've actually done better than I have.  Hopefully knowing that you aren't the only one might bring you some comfort.

Good luck to both of us!

I am EXACTLY where you are.  15 1/2 weeks out, lost 65lbs and at a standstill.  I weigh myself every day (I know it's bad, but I've come a long way from 12x a day)...the scale showed a 4.5 gain on tuesday, and then back down 2 days later.  I've been teetering between .1 and .9 loss and gain for 2 weeks.

BTW - have you had your proteins checked yet?  I'd been doing 65-70 gr and my bloods showed very low protein (now i'm shooting for 100gr).

Banded 12/18/08.  Band removed and revision to RNY on 12/15/14.

Most folks lose very rapidly at first, and then it slows down to a pound or two a week. Normal-- NOT too slow!

You have lost 61 pounds in less than 4 months....That seems great!  I started at 260.  I am 12.5 weeks out, and I have lost 51 pounds.  I was feeling like I was doing really well!  But now, after reading your post, I am trying to decide:  should I feel bad about my weight loss?

I do not think so.  I think I am doing just fine, and I think you are doing just fine, too.

Have you seen the web site called "trend weight"?  Grim recommended it.  I am really enjoying it, because it smooths things over time and shows you the pattern to your weight loss.  If you have a wireless scale, it records the data automatically. It really helps you focus on the trend, not on a particular number.

I am still preop, but I wanted to try and help. Everyone says that you are on track and nothing seems to be out of place for you and that is great. Sometimes, we just need to be reminded of options.

With the books I have read, they say sometimes we just need to go back to basics. Maybe try alternating foods and/or types of exercise you are doing, as it could inspire some added weight loss.

Most importantly, don't give up.

Good luck in your journey.

Just keep working the program and it will do what you need. Slow downs are normal and just part of the process.  You've lost a great amount and your body is just catching up.  Keep on track and you'll be shocked where you end up!
