I had my RNY on the 16th. Best advice I could give is walk when you can. It seems to help me work out the soreness I have around the port injection sites. I am still home from work and trying to get the liquids and protein per day tamed. The time at the hospital was easy, once home is when the real work begins. Good luck, I hope yours goes as well as mine seems to have gone.

It's all about your mind set after your surgery.  I had it about 2 years ago, I used this as a quick fix and it did not work for me.  Funny, I read stories upon stories of how this surgery changed people's lives, but it didn't for me.  I lost all of 20 pounds of my 406 pounds that I weighted at the time.

Today is a different story however, I am working at this weight loss journey mind, body and soul.  I have a trainer and have lost 30 pounds in a little over two months.  My approach was all wrong, it's not about weight loss, it's about getting healthy.  Weight loss is just one of the many added benefits.  So I say to you my sister, good luck and remember, this isn't a quick fix, as we did not gain this weight overnight, so we must not think that we can lose it that way.  This is the first step in your getting healthy journey, GOOD LUCK and Blessings!

My exact thoughts! I had surgery on Tuesday (24th) and man oh man did I have gas pains.  I walked and walked and walked and I think I was just one of the unlucky few that was plagued with never ending pains.  Day 3 it is much better but I still have upper shoulder gas pains.  So I just keep walking.  Every day is a little easier!  Good luck.  :)
