What is your greek yogurt mixture??

For those of you just starting out, this may not be for you.  You need to watch your carbs and concentrate on protein first (to avoid muscle mass loss).  For those who are awhile out and are in maintenance mode, this is what I am doing.  I'm sure many of you have discovered this and are doing variations of it.  I take plain Greek yogurt and add my favorite fruits to it.  In California we are blessed to get many fruits from Chili, Mexico, Guatemala.  So in my yogurt almost year round I am putting in; blueberries, grapes, bananas, strawberries.  In season I will put in; peaches and whatever fresh fruit is available. All the flavored yogurts here (in this area) have high fructose corn syrup...Not good.  So...What do you put in your yogurt??

I use a large container of 0% Fat Fage, add an 8 oz package of frozen mango chunks, use Truvia to taste (I find that using about 5 packets is about right), stir to mix, then place in refrigerator to allow the flavors to meld.

I also like to use blueberries, peaches, or mandarin oranges (canned with no sugar or light syrup).

This gives me 4 or 5 servings of a high-protein, sf dessert or even breakfast.

It might sound weird, but I add cottage cheese first. It goves the yogurt some texture and bumps up the protein. From there I have several varients:

1) Fruit flavored Danon Greek + fresh Blueberry, strawberry, rasbarry mix

2) Sea Salt Caramel Danon Greek + homemade sugar free cocoa mix + Bran bud cereal (for a little fibre) - High protein, High Fibre dessert or snack

3) 0% Fage with a little vanilla, truvia and some fresh berries or bananas

Dannon Light & Fit vanilla flavor or the new Dannon Zero yogurt, cut up apple, walnuts and sometimes with cinnamon sprinkled on top.

I use it in 2 main ways:

1) overnight oats whi*****ludes:

- 1/4 cup greek yogurt

- 3 tbsp of quick oats

- 1 tbsp of chia seeds

- 1/3 cup of unsweetened almond milk

- 1 tbsp unsweetened raspberry jam

- cinnamon or cocoa to taste

then I mix it all together in a Tupperware and place it in the fridge overnight and it's the most delicious breakfast ever. You can even even do just chia seeds, more greek yogurt and raspberry jam of you want to eliminate the oats but for 3 tbsp - it's worth it.

2) I also make my salad dressing with Greek yogurt, Apple cider vinegar and any powdered dressing (ranch, Italian, onion). You can also add any other spices or even make your own tzatziki sauce with it as a dip for veggies.

Yes, I am several years out and this is not for a newbie 😉

I love Fage zero fat yogurt, fresh strawberries, DaVinci SF strawberry syrup, and Museli for texture, crunch!  Yum!

My husband is only 4 months out and wouldn't be surviving without greek yogurt. He really enjoys the Dannon Light & Fit flavors. He eats about 2-3 containers a day. Each has 12 grams protein and 8 grams carbs. Yogurt has been something that his doctors have encouraged him to each since the beginning and it has been something that sits well for him so he has continued. He eats about 5-6 times a day and is constantly hitting his protein goal of 84 grams a day.

Sugar free pudding in cheesecake flavor is my current favorite but any sugar free pudding flavor makes it a special treat!

PB2 or any powdered peanut butter and a bit of sugar free smore flavoring as a dipping sauce for celery or apples
