Making cookies for school

my son came home from school today announcing he needed cookies for tomorrow. My heart sank! We had to run to town to get ingredients because I don't keep chocolate chips at home anymore. I don't know how, but I made the cookies and never ate one, not even a bite! Can't believe I could do that. What a NSV

Wow! That's impressive. I've never been able to keep chocolate chips around. I'd eat them unless they were for a particular recipe.

I'm not that strong when it comes to home made cookies.  Forget it, I'm eating them.  If my kid wants cookies for school I'm just going to buy them.  Good for you!!

Fantastic. Don't know that I could have made them and not tasted the batter or something. You done great. Currently I would be afraid it would cause me to dump, so that might keep me out of them. That is something I hope to avoid doing, I don't like the sounds of dumping.

I have seen the words--"you've got this" deciding "I don't think I'll ever trust myself to think that." You either have more strength, more faith, or more something, Rosalie!  My DH had a birthday yesterday. I made meatloaf cupcakes in foil liners, whipped mashed potato for frosting, shredded cheese and green onion bits for confetti, and a cherry tomato on top.  Black-bean brownies with real whipped cream was the birthday dessert. He didn't care there was no cake-n-ice cream.  Cheers to both our NSV's!

PS:  For the next birthday, I'll use whipped cauliflower in place of whipped potato for the frosting.

The cauliflower frosting was the one step too far!

Aww.  Good thing I HATE baking, because you have to be very precise in measuring and all that, and it gets messy.  I prefer cooking/baking real food not goodies, because you can play with measurements, etc and less messy! :)
