Yeah, my favorite didn't even make the top 12!  I think that's when I got turned off because nobody else is even remotely interesting.

Good morning All!  I don't have much planned for this weekend.  I have an eye appointment on Saturday morning and we are going to a bike shop sale to buy a trailer that will hold both boys that I can pull with my bike this summer!!  We had gone a few weeks ago, and they nicely let us know it would be on sale this weekend.  So obviously we waited!

I am on day 4 of my 14 day pre-op diet

B: 1 cup fat free cottage cheese and 1 cup cucumbers (slim pickings for breakfast this morning, ran out of eggs)

S: L&F Raspberry greek yopgurt

L: "Big mac" salad made with 98% ff ground turkey etc

D: Shrimp with "noddles".  Its not really noddles you use bean sprouts instead!  I will be having 45 small shrimp.  Sounds like a lot, but a serving size is 15 for 60 cals.  Its in my daily calorie budget ;)

S: 2 weigh****chers string cheese

Totals: Cals: 958  Protein: 144  Carbs: 63  Fat: 14

Good for you having your mind in the game pre-surgery!  It gets easier after surgery - smaller pouch so you are fuller fast, and you see dramatic weight loss which is motivating, and your eating becomes habit.  You're off to a great start.  Congrats!

Thank you!  I have lost about 25 lbs since my introductory meeting in August.  I have been eating low carb/high protein since then also.  Well except the week before my pre-op diet started and I went a tad crazy.  Not over the TOP crazy, but had to have some food funerals! LOL

Yep, dreary and rainy here in DC too.  It's just those sunny Californians who aren't grumpy today :)

I had my one week LBL and BL post-op appointment this morning and I am a model patient.  My surgeon is thrilled with me.  I can stand mostly upright, my incisions look good, and i walked 1.2 miles yesterday.  My drains aren't yet able to be removed which is a bummer, but he will take both out next Tuesday.  He gave me a crazy Spanx-like knee to boob crotchless binder outfit so I don't have to wear this bulky velcro abdominal binder all day everyday, so I am trying to get used to that.  We discussed how I am still up 10 lbs and he said STAY OFF THE SCALE. He told me that while in the hospital I had about 16 lbs of fluids put into me, and only 3.5 lbs of skin and tissue removed.  He admitted that for weight loss patients it's impossible for us to not weigh since we become compulsive, but he pleaded with me to not think about those 10 lbs.  I am trying to follow his directions.

B: Two coffees with half and half, light and fit yogurt with high protein granola

L: Pure protein bar so I could take an oxycodone

S: Costco rotisserie chicken salad

D: Maybe shrimp?

I am averaging around 1,000-1,200 calories and keeping my protein high, for healing.

Have a great day, all!

That sounds like a great recovery.  I'm impressed that you walked yesterday!  Congrats and glad to hear you are feeling good!
