Tuna Salad
I am in the puree stage. My diet has that I can have puree tuna. It also had a recipe for puree egg salad and said I could sub can tuna or chicken. So I did tuna.
1 can of tuna in water drained.
1 T. dill pickle relish
2 T. light mayo
I had a 1/4 of cup. It tasted so good.
I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "eating tuna is good protein but I can't eat enough to get the value". you get the value of protein from whatever amount you CAN eat, and tuna is such a high protein food that even a small amount of it is going to give you more "bang for your buck" in terms of protein content than most foods. Don't worry about how much you can or cannot eat... At this stage it is all about making good choices.
Pureeing something specifically so you can eat more of it might set up an unhealthy psychological approach that can bite you in the ass down the road.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
I'm a few weeks away from surgery (much less puréed stage) but I'm curious what you used to purée. Are you using a mini food processor, or an immersion blender, or something else?
Did you actually put the tuna In the blender or did you just ma**** like you would normally without having to be on a pureed diet. .. I would love to try this... however I'm not sure of the mushy texture of tuna. (After being put through a blender) Please help I'm 15 days post op and looking for something new to try. ...
