Breakouts After Surgery?

I was wondering if anyone has had breakouts (pimples, acne) after surgery?  I rarely almost never get any time of bump on my face but the last couple weeks I've noticed a lot of them. Is this normal?

I had EXACTLY the same thing happen! My surgeon and pcp had never seen it. I posted on here too but nobody else had that happen. It was like a pimple plague invaded around the 2 week mark, all at once. I'm now at 8 weeks and it's better but I'm still getting 1 every few days.

The only thing I can think of is a hormonal response to either the weight loss or the vitamins. Good luck and ket me know if you find any answers or solutions.

Ok I'm glad I'm not the only one! I'm right behind you at 7 weeks. Do you have issues getting your fluids in. From the beginning I can't seem to get in 64 oz..not even the minimum 42! I have no idea what my problem is with that. I Googled the pimple issue and found out same thing you said also dehydration could cause too. I'm thinking that my be the case since I'm not getting all my fluids down. Thanks for responding

ME! About a year after surgery I started to get bacne (i.e. acne on my back) and face. The deep cystic kind. I figured it is wedding stress.

But alas, it is not. It continues!  And I am getting facials on my back and totally using Proactiv. They say proactive is to harsh for your face. Well, now I know to do with all of mine!  I am using it on my bacne and it is helping!

Yes!  A lot of hormone changes after this surgery, I'm sure is the culprit.

Big YES to this one!  My chin never really broke out before but it is constantly covered in pimples since surgery.  Blackheads have increased too from the increased oiliness.  The first week after surgery was great because the IV antibiotics cleared my skin up amazingly but since then I'm like the before on an acne wash commercial.

I also had the same experience.  Hormone dumping, I assume.

Yes it is normal as the fat being lost is releasing extra estrogen which is likely the reason for the pimples....I got it too, but it does calm down when weight loss slows.
