Glad to be home. Now my weight loss journey begins
I came home today from the St Michael. First I would like to give the nurses there props! The staff there was so nice and supportive. I didn’t get a pca machine which I was kind of expecting but I could always as for the morphine mini bag which I took every 4 hrs. I also had a horrible bout of nausea because of the anesthesia which I always get. That only lasted 24hrs then went. I’m still in a little pain but the Percocet’s help nicely. So now I’m home and on a full fluids diet for 2 weeks. All the readings classes and videos I’ve watched now are coming to reality.
Congratulations! Welcome to the loser's bench.

So glad to hear you made it home. Welcome to the new life you are beginning. I am now starting day 9 post-op and find I am picking up energy now. I was so very tired that first week and was told that is very normal. Pain now really has only been soreness for several days now. Have been able to sleep on my sides pretty good for several days...sometimes a pillow helps with that because of the tenderness. Yesterday I got to go from clear liquids to a puree diet. Ate a couple of times yesterday. 1/4 c. cottage cheese and a sugar free pudding. All that went really well.
