How much weight did you lose before people noticed?

A bathing suit every day!  That sounds like a life story worth sharing.  :-)

Eh, I don't recall exactly, it's been 13 years. But I remember my 10 day post op app when I wore a smaller size sundress than the past 10 years and the scale said I was down 17 lbs. Bam! People noticed, it was just more my own personal thing that was more exciting.

With me, other people noticed starting about 40 pounds lost. I stayed in same size clothes for a LONG time. I have bought men's sweatpants and oversize teeshirts because theirs is roomier and generally more durable. The sweat pants and shorts have that handy drawstring that would accomidate my several weight fluctuations. And the men's shorts are longer. I HATE that women's shorts have the "waist" showing butt crack up top. And the "length" showing butt crack from underneath. I prefer my clothes to have more material than a stinking Qtip. For myself to be able to see the change it took more like 80 pounds lost.
