So excited!  My gym is doing a one day, special session of yoga barre for the normal yoga class.

Has anyone else done it?

I've been doing a barre class for 3 months. I'm addicted! I'm so solid and have gained so much definition in my stomach and arms! I didn't know some of those muscles existed!

enjoy It!

Sounds like we are physical fitness twins. I say this due to the love of skating, synchro, and now barre.

I will write about how it went later!

Have a great day!

Yoga barre was NOT what I expected. First it burned just 221 calories.  This is WORSE than normal power yoga.

Second, there was no barre.  HOw does one do barre WITHOUT a barre?

We used own body weight. Some of the moves were hard like standing on tippy toes and doing a variety of other things.

I thought I would be sore today..but I am not.  I do not know if I did the moves wrong and ineffectively.

I dont know if this class is worth the time.  The instructor said it is for muscle building not calorie burning.

If they offer it again. I shall put in two good months and see what happens. But I think body pump is a better bang for ones buck. One builds muscle AND burns calories.
