Is it Weird that I was Sent home with High Fructose Corn Syrup Liquid Tylenol?
I was discharged yesterday and my doctor included a prescription for Liquid Tylenol. The pharmacist filled it with over-the-counter Children's Tylenol. I was hoping to stop the narcotics today and switch to the Tylenol. However, I just noticed that one of the inactive ingredients is high fructose corn syrup. It seems strange that they would give that to a bariatric patient... should I be concerned?
Since it's over the counter anyway, you can still find a sugar free or diabetic version.

I buy the adult liquid tylenol in sugar free version (for diabetics) -- good catch!

Thanks everyone. I am feeling well enough now that I think I can go without the pain meds. However, I will make sure to find the sugar free version so that I have some on hand just in case.
This is a great example for all of us. Read all labels, don't listen blindly to docs in situations like this, and be your own advocate.
