Day 18 - Post Op - Very Tired
I have been doing great after surgery. Eating my 2 oz protein and keeping it down......Been back to work since 1 st week.
But the past few days I have been extremely tired. I am not allowed caffeine yet. I feel like I could fall asleep at any time......
How long until this goes away and I get energy back?
How much protein are you eating per day? If you're not eating enough, it could account for the fatigue.

It varies for everyone, but remember, you had major surgery, and are eating very little.
I'd have some good days, and some where I'd get exhausted very easily. I did fine for a while, and hit another wiped out streak at 6 months or so.
Hang in there. Keep as active as you can, but don't expect too much for a while.

Hi,
I had my surgery January 2015. I still get those days when it's a slow go. What does help me is the Atkins Protein Shakes. There is alot of protein in them and they taste great. The caf'e caramel shake even has caffeine in it with 15 grms protein. Just thought I would let you know what works for me. Good luck to you.
It took me six months to feel my energy level get back to normal. We are all different. Hang in there!!
