You might have better luck at thrift stores, especially those in higher income areas. I find lots of excellent things. I just got a Kenneth Cole Reaction wool peacoat with no signs of wear for $17, and a lovely cashmere sweater for $10.

Friendly side note re old clothes: In my WLS notes, it is recommended to retain one article of pre-op clothing as a reminder where you were and how far you've come. I not only didn't want to keep even one thing, I wanted to rip to shreds and burn every single elastic-waist polyester pant and tent shirt I owned. Soooooo, in an attempt to follow the program rules, I saved a pair of underwear.
