WOW - there is so much out there.  I went to my local consignment shops and couldn't find much that I liked in my size.

You might have better luck at thrift stores, especially those in higher income areas. I find lots of excellent things. I just got a Kenneth Cole Reaction wool peacoat with no signs of wear for $17, and a lovely cashmere sweater for $10.

I have quite a wardrobe from thrift stores, much of it unique, one of a kind finds. We all have to find creative ways to avoid showing up to work in our bathrobes as we go through sizes.

Friendly side note re old clothes:  In my WLS notes, it is recommended to retain one article of pre-op clothing as a reminder where you were and how far you've come.  I not only didn't want to keep even one thing, I wanted to rip to shreds and burn every single elastic-waist polyester pant and tent shirt I owned.  Soooooo, in an attempt to follow the program rules, I saved a pair of underwear.

I found immense satisfaction taking the scissors to quite a few giant, ugly, stained, worn-out, used-for-every-occasion, ripped-off-collars, seams-coming-apart, decades-old-boy-bands, faded, yellowed-from-bleach, miserable-memory thing I could. YES I DID.

I can't buy anything I can't try on, touch, and smell. Ebay never for me.  I built my wardrobe from consignment, but since I have been the same size for 8 years I update it with good sales items from local stores.
