Underweight or more than 100% EWL? I want to know!
Is that a full body composition or just body fat %? Just curious since I am no where in the vicinity...
yes, I understood the point of the post, but it seems like -- lately especially -- any discussion of BMI and EWL makes HUGE assumptions about "normal" and "healthy" which just aren't easily determined... And, as I said, the people who focus too much on the numbers and not enough on the habits and lifestyle changes are usually the ones who end up gaining weight. (Not at all intended as a shot at you... Just a general personal and professional observation over the last 8 years.)

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
The reason I obsess over numbers is I never want to be bigger then a size 6 or weigh more then the 130s, gaining weight makes me miserable, 10 years experience tells me what works for me. Hence the reason I only wear fitted clothes in my true size, I don't want to hide a weight gain in sweatpants and wake up fat again one day.
Yes and those athletes with a BMI of 30 have what we call the m word ...Muscle and lots of it. So unless u work out and do a lot of resistance training, I highly doubt u would feel comfortable on the beach with a BMI of 30. But hey each to their own, we all have different goals. Most of those 'plus size models' are still around a BMI of 24
really? are you for real? I do look great not only in 2 piece swim suit (no fat rolls) but also naked. I had some plastics done and my doc removed skin - there was no fat underneath.
don't judge someone unless you know what you're talking about....
I do yoga, and walk, and hike, and ski... and i have very large frame, strong thick bones...and boobs... that's why I need top size 10-12 and bottom 6-8...
My own docs suggested that 145 was too low for me...(3 docs) .. so make sure you know what you are talking about and who are you talking to...

I am 17 months post-op. For me 100%EWL was 134 lb (using the OH post-op planner. Today I weigh 120lbs - I a 5'4 and wear a size 4 pants and a small top. I look extremely gaunt but I hope it will settle out as time goes by. I was very on the fence about going lower than 145 lb *my original goal* but it just happened. Now the work will be staying in my range 120-130 lb for the long haul. I think Lady tazz says it perfectly and she is someone I admire for her honesty and her ability to tell it like it is!
The short version - follow the plan indefinitely.
I like your new avatar! And I don't think you look gaunt at all.
