Thanks for the advice and I think that's a really good practice. I do think sugar alcohols give me trouble. I think they are in foods when there is artificial sweetener but I could be wrong.  I go know to look for them now though!

My Doc said not to eat anything with more than 5-6g  sugar per serving. Sugar alcohols are in the sweeteners that were originally used in foods for diabetics like Malitol, Xylitol, Sorbitol etc. not all artificial sweeteners.

I  have been following along with all of the comments because I have also started feeling this way after some meals.  Yogurt especiallly.  I have been eating it, the same brand, for weeks with no problem.  But, now in the last 5 days or so, I can't tolerate it.  I get nauseous and can't get through a container.

Not sure if I'm reacting to the sugar or the dairy.  I've heard of others who develop an intolerance for dairy post RNY, so I've been wondering about that.

Do the other things that cause you to feel unwell have dairy?  I have narrowed it down for me and it is definitely a sugar/carb thing, even in low amounts, and dairy seems to make no difference.  I have heard that many become lactose intolerant after surgery, although even with that, many can still tolerate yogurt.
