Thanks everyone ~ I do not have a lot of weight to loose (60). I am PATIENTLY waiting to hear back from insurance. They received my information yesterday and it's in their policy to have an answer to me within me 15 working days. Thanks for the

I had gastric sleeve last January & have had NO complications whatsoever. (I've lost 133 lbs since January.)

Now, my husband had gastric bypass last March & had complications. His health was worse to start with (heart issues, high blood pressure) so we weren't shocked that his road was a bit bumpier. He had to be hospitalized 2 more times but he has stated that even with the complications, this surgery has saved his life. He has lost over 100lbs since March. He's slowly being weaned off his medications and feels better than he's felt in years! He's almost at a "normal" BMI and is so glad he went thru with the surgery.

Any questions, e-mail me @ [email protected].

Good Luck!

Helen

I had surgery 27 months ago and have had zero complications. All my health issues(diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and high triglycerides) have been resolved. People who have issues are more likely to post as they try to get help, but even many who had complications would still tell you they would do surgery again in a heartbeat. I wish I had taken control of my health sooner! Thankful every day for my pouch!!
