I cannot believe how much trouble I am having finding ordinary fleece sweatpants, especially since it isn't like years ago when I was looking for them in a 3x!!

I just want ladies fleece sweatpants (not French terry, not velour, not polyester or nylon blend yoga pants), that are actually available in a size 10 or 12 (there seems to an odd shortage of these sizes), available in navy blue or black, and that are either open-bottomed and available in petite length or have a cuff or elastic bottom.

I would prefer them without pockets, because that just makes your hips look bigger, but at this point, I will even take some with pockets.

I also like the ones with the yoga-pant or tie-waist rather than all-around elastic waist but, again, I will take what I can get.

I cannot find them in any of the places I have purchased them before (even directly from Champion) or -- in the case of three Walmarts and a Kohl's -- they have no size 10/12 or even 12/14 on the shelves! (They must be just selling out of them quickly...) The last ones I bought were from JCP and were exactly what I wanted (petite length, even), and if I had known they were going to discontinue them I would have "stocked up".

Last winter the puppy ripped a hole in my only pair of black ones (other than an old pair of XXLs that somehow missed the Goodwill box), and one of my two pairs of blue ones has some mystery grease stain.  

So, if anyone sees some in a catalog or store while doing Christmas shopping, please let me know!

I am struggling with this too.  I usually only wear my sweatpants at home, but I'd like them to fit. Right now I'm wearing the ones I bought 60 lbs ago. I think you're right, they only have a limited amount of the 10/12 sizes and they sell out fast.

Try Woman Within for a plain pair with ribbed ankles.  Try Roamans for fancier stuff.  I like Woman Within and they usually have a free shipping coupon.

I just bought a pair of performance fleece sweatpants from Old Navy. they are not traditional sweatshirt material but more like the fleece material their  pullovers are made from. I love them, and they aren't cut too baggy so they don't look sloppy. They only have back patch pockets, no side pockets.

Also have you seen these from the Hanes website? They look like what you are looking for. Usually hanes has champions on their website too, but I didn't look that far.

Maybe JCP.com is still your best bet?  Take a peek at their Xersion brand sweatpants located under the girls or girls plus sizes.  They come without pockets, ties, and should be shorter than women's.  Penney's is good for having percentages off and coupons, too.

HI! I saw some in Marshalls in the MEN's athletic section.

Have you tried looking in the men's dept? I bet a small/med would work.

If Kohls has the style you are looking for but doesn't  have your size you can order them at a kiosk instore and they will ship them free.
