What is tha actual cause of the gurgling?
It is a reaction -- by your intestine, not your pouch -- to (what is now) the first part of your intestine unexpectedly getting food/liquid that hasn't been processed by the original upper portion of the intestine (which has been bypassed). The new first part of the intestine is accustomed to the food already being partially processed.
The amount of gurgling often decreases as time passes and your body gets used to it somewhat, and certain foods apparently are more of a "surprise" than others.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
