How bad would it be

I have drank regular coffee from 4 weeks out for 8 years+ with no issue. In fact those splashes of soy milk (my preferred milk) add up to a nice amount of protein in a day.

I had my one year follow up yesterday and the physician's assistant said that even decaf wasn't recommended due to the acids in the drink.  That being said, I still have a cup of coffee most days, but I do max myself out at two, spread way apart.  I've never had stomach troubles brought on with caffeine and so far I'm feeling fine.

I was allowed caffeinated coffee from day 1. They suggest no more than 2 per day, but that's not a problem. I hate decaf too. Would rather drink tea than decaf.

I drink regular coffee all day everyday and my dr said it's fine. Be warned though...before surgery I quit coffee...and when i went back...wow. A cup of coffee was like taking steroids, lol
