What's on your menu today, RNYers?
Good morning OH world, I'm up and at 'em a bit early today as I'm headed towards a busy day - an all staff meeting, two storytimes, and an author visit this afternoon!
I'm making this a quick post today - but before I get to the menu, does anyone have any questions they want me to pose to the group in the coming days? It seems like we have the best conversations when I start things off with questions. Either list your thoughts in your reply or send me a PM if you'd like!

Good morning. I am happy to report that I toured the gym yesterday after work and joined on the spot. I have an appointment next Tuesday with the trainer but I intend to begin going tomorrow after work for my first workout.
Lawn duty is on the docket tonight. It is so sad to see leaves on the ground though this is a time of the year I really enjoy.
I have room in my plan for a snack so we’ll see if I need it.
Thanks for the support you guys give individually and as a whole by participating everyday.
Enjoy your day everyone!

D! Congrats on joining the gym. It's awesome that you're going to meet with a trainer right away, I'm actually still too scared/self conscious to do it. I know this is ridiculous, but it is what it is.

Congrats on joining the gym! I think it's scary at first (or it was for me), but once you get in the routine and start seeing results it becomes a lot less intimidating. You'll do great!
Good Morning! I'm having a great morning; I always weigh myself on Thursday mornings and I had a 5lb loss this week. I don't know how/why but I will take it. Maybe it's the probiotic I bought at Green Planet last night. LOL Whatever it was, I'm going to be filing that away in my mental rolodex for those times when I'm not quite as successful or feeling stuck. As for the probiotic, I ended up with Soloray Multidophilis 12. It was a lot less spendy than some of the other bottles in the fridge and had pretty good reviews online, so I made the leap. Also? I love the discussions here; I get so many ideas for things other than food and I am very grateful for this thread every day. Group hug! Of course, I can't think of a single discussion topic right now. ha-ha
B: coffee; cottage cheese and a banana
L: Leftover chili with some crumbled queso fresco and maybe a little hunk of SF cornbread if I feel like it. I made Iowa Girl Eats Signature Spicy Smoky Sweet chili last night and it was delish. And since I made a double batch, we will be eating it forever. It's a good thing it freezes. The cornbread was not so good. It had no flavor.
D: My little has Scouts tonight so I'm going to nuke a Mediterranean chickpea burger and have some tomatoes and hummus on the side.
I have a tendency to switch things up after I've logged. I go back to MFP the next day to correct my food diary and complete it so what I have listed above is tentative.
Totals (for now): Cals: 761 Protein: 41 Carbs: 95 Fat: 30
Hmmm...those carb and protein macros kind of suck. LOL I think I may switch up my dinner and omit the cornbread at lunch. Menu flexibility, people!
5 pounds this week?! Fantastic, you're rocking things.
I do the same when it comes to my menu, I might switch my snack or something - but I generally try to stick to what I've posted. I do sometimes find when I'm typing out my post that my carbs are higher than I would like or whatever and make a change on the spot, it's one of the many reasons I love this post!

Good morning everyone. A chilly rainy day here in Illinois so looks like I will hit the treadmill downstairs. There may be a break later in the storm so hopefully I will be able to walk the lap at the park later with Lily too. This afternoon I will do 20 minutes on the bike too. On track with fluids and vitamins so far. Weight today is 120.6 and I am 25.5 months post op. I am loving my sweaters in this chilly weather, especially my new pumpkin colored sweater from the sale rack at Goody's! I would never have worn orange anything before surgery. Here's my eats: B 1/2c steel cut oats with nuts and half a banana with peanut butter L 31/2 oz deli turkey with cheese and Greek yogurt S whole wheat crackers with peanut butter D 31/2 oz turkey burger and cheese S Greek yogurt with nuts. Hope everyone has a great day where ever you are!
