and on Sunday before I hit the pavement in a 20K run... its my life, its my journey, I am owning it and loving it ....
Forever grateful for this wonderful chance at life without obesity related illnesses.... 5 co-morbidities and limited mobility behind me for 7 years and 7 months now... I am cruising into the autumn years of my life with zeal, health and determination...
Thank you all for allowing me to share SNIPPETS of my journey. Thank you OH for the wonderful space to share and parttake in our experiences on this awesome and sometimes challenging journey post WLS...
I am so excited I can't wait Karen ... I don't know how to act... just last month I was doing cartwheels when I was blessed with news from my sister that my niece is having a baby and that I am going to be a grandauntie and now I am sooooooooooooo thrilled that my very own grandbaby is on the way ... we even started our journal celebrating his/her life from the beginning. When my DIL asked that I help her with the pregnancy test and it was immediately positive we decided to wait and do it again to make sure ... then we scheduled the appointment with the OB/GYN and waited another month for bloodwork and confirmation and a date ... this is going to be the happiest nana on earth ... my son is sooooooooooo excited he was crying when she told him ...
Yup we have and are starting our keepsakes... now I have two daughters, my son, a grandbaby on the way and an awesome husband and family and friends... and I can't stop smiling...
How exciting! You get to join the grandma club! You look amazing and are an inspiration. Love to hear stories of people maintaining 7 years out. Have fun and good Luck!

Thank you NYMom ... I waited and dreamed about this day for soooooooooooooooooooo long ... I can't wait... every night I go to bed dreaming about kissing little hands and feet and changing diapers and hugging my grandbaby ... I have sooooooooooooo many images and ideas running through my head as it was requested by my son and my DIL that I design and decorate the nursery ... I have to keep reminding myself that we have a few months to go before the baby is here LOL ... I am sooooooooooooo happy that we got that huge 3 family house with the xtra large basement two years ago ... it all makes sense now ... my family loves being close and I love love love having them close ... OMG I am so excited I don't know how to act and now I am blabbering .... Thank you so much for your support ... I am going to be a NANA ... YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYyyyyyy...... the best thing that I have ever accomplished in my life is being a mom... I have known no better or bigger love ... and now I get to do it all over again ... pinch me somebody ... I can't wait!!!

Thank you Grim_Traveller ... you bet I am going to go craaazyyyyyyy-er with my favorite hobby - making dolls... I grew up surrounded by handmade dolls that my mom made us ... and being totally unappreciative of them as a kid wanting a commercial doll I finally fell in love with them and with the craft once I went to high school and everyone loved my mom's unique dolls ... I have been making them since and have NEVER sold any opting to give them away just keeping the ones with flaws for me ... it is my favorite passtime. When I used to get homesick being overseas away from home and my mom I would make a doll and mail her pictures for her to critique and then when she died I would make a doll and think about her and wonder how she must have felt all the Christmasses that I acted out as a child not wanting to play or even look at the beautiful dolls that she had stayed up all night making for us because we were lusting over our friends' commercial dolls ... and I was a tomboy and would have rather marbles, and tonka trucks and toy soldiers instead and a commercial doll with long hair so I could cut it and style it SIGH...
Sorry for the long winded reply.... I am old and sometimes my train of thought leaves the station without me LOL.... This was my beautiful daughter 30 years ago and yup I made the canopy and the curtains and the sheets and I travelled to Panama over a weekend to get Xavier Roberts dolls for her and my friends because there was a shortage here .... and I figured out how to made some of them myself and I did ... I STILL make her dolls ...
