18 days post op just realized no Gerd, no coughing

I have been so consumed with protein, sipping and walking that it did not dawn on me until last night that I do not have GERD any longer.  I have asthma and used to cough all day long but since the surgery and my hiatal hernia repair, I have not coughed at all.  Have not needed my rescue inhaler at all...go figure. Also since less coughing I have less incontinence issues so it is a win win win situation, no Gerd, no cough and little leakage!!!  I can sleep on my back and no GERD wow it is so wonderful even laying pretty flat instead of three pillows.  I am so happy.  Doc says back to work though next Monday and I am dreading it, ugh.

Going back to work won't be so bad. Just make sure you get your protein and water in. It's easy to forget when you go back to your old routine.

What a great NSV! Healthy is the prettiest thing there is.

Congrats!!! One of the reasons (a few but a biggie) why I had WLS was in the hopes of eliminating my severe GERD and thankfully 8 years later it is still gone.

Best wishes at work... plan ahead, bring protein, set an alarm if you need to for vitamins, keep the water with you at all times.
