What's on the menu today RNYers?
Glad to hear vacation is going well Anny. Great job on the workout too! I know before I lost weight I would always be self conscious if I went to workout someplace new like a hotel and feel like everyone was staring. Now I just don't care. I look better than most people there. I realized today when getting dressed that I have visible muscles in my arms and shoulders. Guess I have Jillian to thank for that!
Glad to hear Jillian is paying off. Man, it's such a quick workout but it always leaves me dead (prob. b/c it's working :) I'm still on level 1 though, I don't think I'm ready for the next level, but it's great to hear you're seeing results!
Hello to all! A lovely day here in London, the sun was actually shining all day! I took advantage of the beautiful sunshine by going for a nice long walk today then laid out on the grass while at the park and soaked in some warmth. Making a very special dinner for my husband tonight, a very spicy Lamb Masala. Indian food is very popular here, but unfortunately not very healthy. I've found some great recipes that are much healthier (and cheaper!) to prepare at home. Happy Tuesday!
B: Cottage Cheese w/ sugar free strawberry jam, 4 large strawberries
S: Honey roasted ham slices
L: 2 chicken thighs, and a few bites of tomato/cucumber salad (big portions of protein so very little room for salad)
D: Lamb Masala
Water: 10 Cups
Vitamins: All in
Exercise: 40 Minute Brisk Walk
Totals: 868 Calories, 91g Protein, 42g Carbs
(Low on my calories today because I forgot my afternoon snack. Will probably have some almonds after dinner later!)
I love Indian food, but you're right sometimes the way it is prepared leaves something to be desired. Any tips on how you are lightening it up? All of those great spices seem like they could be made lighter if you use less ghee and other items that make it so good! Good luck with dinner, your menu sounds awesome!
Hi everyone! So many yummy menus to peruse! It's great that everyone is doing well and have fun at aqua gym, AZPatty! DodgerGirl ugh I am sorry about the scale not moving. I wonder if you need to increase calories? 800 calories in a day you work out for 2 hours seems very low...but I'm not a doc :)
Im in Vegas for work and made it to the gym today!!! Goal is to go tomorrow, skip Thurs, and go Friday night at home :)
b: Chike shake, an egg, way too much coffee
L: awesome lunch - it was make your own salad so I had grilled chicken, a few bites of bacon, some hard boiled egg, a couple of walnuts and 3 olives. Yummmm
S: they brought in large soft pretzels with 3 types of mustard and chocolate covered rice Krispy treats. Omg. I resisted and ate 1 Oz of roasted chickpeas from my purse.
D: client dinner tonight but the restaurant is Stack, in the Mirage, and they have lots of options :)
E: 35 mins elliptical and 20 mins strength training
v: on track!
Have a great night everyone!
