My surgeon Dr Kuhn died in July 2014, any one use his partner, Dr Henke?
OK, sanity finally returned to me as the day went on. Yes, I am still upset about the death of my surgeon, that has not changed. He was such a good, decent, reputable man and surgeon that was why I researched so hard to find him. My heart goes out to his family and staff. It must be very devastating for them. I cannot imagine! Their lives have been turned upside down and will never be the same. I feel ashamed of how I overreacted on some levels. As all of us know whenever you have to have surgery of any kind it is so imperative to have a surgeon that you trust as this is no joking matter, people have died from weightloss surgeries before for a variety of reasons. My gut reaction was I do not want to be one of those who dies. I am putting on my big girl panties and going to meet with his partner as planned and begin my trust journey with him. I am sure my doc trained him well and he had better be watching from heaven when I have my surgery!!!!
OMG, I did not know that because everyone has been saying pneumonia. I thought he looked very bad when I saw him in May for my upper GI, no wonder! Thanks for sharing that, makes more sense I guess. I am still shocked but only a couple of days to process it, still having a hard time wrapping my head around it. He was tough to the end. He was supposed to come back to work today after much needed rest. I am so sad!
To complete my emotional post about Dr Kuhn, I just have to say, he sure picked a great associate. Dr. Henke did my revision last Thursday, it was long and tedious but he did it, lots of scar tissue. I am going very well six days post op. I see him Friday to have my drain removed. I would recommend him in a heartbeat. Thank you Dr. Kuhn for leaving me in excellent hands.
