...and I STILL look forward to and celebrate each monthly surgery anniversary ... yup that day I took a leap for change with the intention of not ever looking back .. between my aching joints and increasing issues it was my daughter taking a bad fall and me not able to maneuver the stairs fast enough to assist her that gave me the final shove....

I am holding steadfast ... living life in health and mobility since my gastric bypass surgery ... I am forever grateful for the awesomeness of living life minus five co-morbidities all related to morbid obesity ... of being able to run a 20K and still getting up early for a stroll along the beach with my puppies ... I am celebrating this awesome tool today, 7 years and 5 months later as if it just happened yesterday .... Maintaining a total loss of 203 pounds and loving it ...

and me today 7 years and 5 months after my RNY surgery ... happy as a lark ... living life with health, mobility and love for self and others ... it starts within...

Thank you for allowing me to share SNIPPETS OF MY JOURNEY .... and thank you OH for providing the space and the site where we can each share and part-take in all facets of our journeys... I am GRATEFUL!

And we are thankful for you and for your inspiration every time you post! I always live hearing about your journey and seeing pictures of your fur babies. I got a new dog a month ago after having to say goodbye to my 16 year old Henry. Our new dog Lily is a 5 year old boxer who was relinquished to a rescue group by a puppy mill. She has some issues like fear of loud noises(fireworks are not good!)and thunder but she is truly a sweetheart! And she is my workout buddy as we walk 3.25 miles at the park every morning unless it's raining. It's good for us both and is helping her bond with me too. Congratulations on your amazing journey and thanks for sharing with us!

Awwwwwwwww Karen ... what a sweet story and how awesome you were able to rescue Lily and give her an awesome home .. Dogs make the best walking buddies ever... My crew of five were in bed with me yesterday cowering from the noise of the fireworks ... we are right next to the beach and the noises seemed to come from right under our windows..... they don't like loud noises either and they are all homegrown so go figure.  Thank you always for your support and encouragement...

Here is the rest of the crew ... this is after my DD caught them ripping up an entire roll of TP... they sat there looking like "It wasn't me" LOL

You really were an encouragement to me, especially in the early days!  We have a dpg and two cats, rescues, of course.

Thank you Lynn... your tracker shows your awesome journey CONGRATS!!!! It is awesome and rewarding to give a loving home to rescues ... I bet you enjoy every minute of them.  Two of my five remaining ferrets are rescues however my toy poodle pups who are 3 months old now are from my very own first litter .. I bought my sire and my dam and I am enjoying every bit of them.

Thank you so much for sharing your journey! I had my RNY on May 5, 2014--2 months ago today!  Your post are incredibly inspiring to me and so positive!  Thank you! Blessings!

I am taking care of my daughter's dog for a year.  He is half lab half mastiff. 90 pounds of sweet, stubborn, loving baby.  He keeps me on my toes and we do lots of walking.  Such a wonderful companion.

CONGRATS on your 2 month post-op journey Sheri ... I wish you all the best on it ... embrace it and enjoy it ... and if the ride gets a bit hard or turbulent at times we just keep pressing on.  What awesome bunches of love and exercise you must be getting with that 90 lbs furry bundle of love and sweetness ... Thanks for your support and encouragement!
