Good morning, folks! First of all, Emily: I'm so, so proud of you. You've accomplished so much in the last six months! I am always so impressed and, more importantly, inspired by your story. You've been a wonderful source of support and wisdom yourself, and in my opinion I'm the one who owes YOU thanks! I'm happy that I can call such a beautiful person (inside and out!) my friend. You go, girl! You know how to do this travel thing, you've already proved that. May your trip be full of clean, well-lit gyms to work out in, glistening dudes working out there to stare at, and protein-forward menu choices everywhere you go.

I had my last (for the moment) personal training session today, and we finalized a workout routine for me to follow. I'm pretty comfortable with what we've settled on, so I'm hoping this helps me get over my gym funk. I had to explain that I thrive on routine, and at the moment I was just plain confused and wasn't sure just what I was supposed to be doing when I went in. Now I feel like I have a solid plan and a good set of exercises, so it's time to really get with it.

I've got a haircut scheduled for later today, and after that it's more job hunting. I've been sending out resumes like crazy, but so far no bites. I'm just lucky that I can afford to be patient and wait for the right position. So more resume and cover letter writing today!

Today's plan: Water - A little slow, only 40 ounces so far, will pick it up. Supplements - Morning batch down the hatch, rest on schedule. Exercise - Strength training and a wee bit of cardio done so far, will get on the treadmill here at home later today. And menu:

Pam!  You are way too sweet!  I am so happy with my RNY that if I can just motivate one person to get it and change their life, I am happy :)

So glad you have a repeatable routine for the gym!  That is key, if you ask me.  I am always mentally noting the weights that my trainer chooses for the same reason - so I can replicate it on my own.  And maybe you can buy a package for one session a week.  I can't afford my three weekly 50-minute sessions beyond this package so I will have to go to once a week.  Sniff.

Your menu looks delish.  I am going to have to find these Flat Out items that you and Anny eat!

Post a new avatar after your haircut!  I am going bald (the dirty, ugly side of WLS!) - well not bald, but I have lost half of my hair.  One day I may have to change styles.  I keep thinking, ok it's been six months, I bet it will slow down.  But no.

Keep it up on the job hunt.  It sounds like you have had some badass jobs in the past, and you are a total right-hand man so the right person at the right company will snap you up!

PS Thanks for the wishes for glistening dudes.  I am more likely to have some eye candy in a pub watching World Cup :)  But the gym at my London hotel is ok, and I am going to walk like 15 miles a day in Paris, and my friends and I are doing a Zumba class and then laying by the pool on Friday.  So I think I will manage to get the workouts in.  Just have to work on the glistening dudes...

Hi FF!  Is it sad that I am envious?  My rumbles never turn to any "activity" :(  I have introduced Miralax into my protein shakes which has helped but I am in NO way regular lol.

But I am glad it was a close call and not a DISASTER!

Your menu sounds great - chicken salad and avocado YUM!

Hello everyone! It's been a crazy few days here in NorCal. We have had a heat wave and it sucked! I think at one point my car said it was 113! No thanks! So Friday night my hubby made the mistake to look up kittens on the internet and now we are the proud owners of two! Yes we are crazy! We brought home two sweet little girls on Monday. Anna and elsa (can you tell we love disney?) and settling in well and alivia is doing well with them.

I only have 2 more pounds to lose to get out of the 170s! It feels like I have been stuck here for the longest time!

my eats for the day:

breakfast: found chocolate Cheerios the other day..... Thank goodness the box is almost gone. They are too good! Also enjoying my coffee.

lunch: finish up the eggbites and cottage cheese

dinner: liv wants tacos

Snack: string cheese, protein shake, Greek yogurt

totals: cals: 1152 carbs: 91 protein: 101

w: none yet, really to get on it

e: went to my first class after a week and for the first time I really felt like I didn't workout. I felt like I wasted my time. Hoping for a good workout today

v: in a sec

well I have a mountain of dishes to tackle and a bunch that fabric that needs to be sewn together. Have a great day everyone! Em enjoy your trips!

Well that's exciting that you grew your family!  Kittens are so cute but so rambunctious!  You must be used to it with your little girl :)  I hope today's workout goes well!

Good Morning Everyone!

DCGirl, have a great time on your trip.  I want to echo Pam and the others, you have been a huge help to me, so it's I who should be thanking you.  You're going to rock your trip, and I'm also very jealous that you get to take a weekend trip to Paris.  So much fun!

I have a mini gwynnie bee rant, I love GB, but their delivery times are killing me!  I have 3 items I sent back on Sat, and still havent' received notification that I'll be getting any replacements soon (plus I did the advanced notification).  Doesn't GB know that my wardrobe is dwindling and I rely on them to keep me clothed, lol!  It seems like getting items after returning them is getting slower and slower, or maybe I"m just becoming more desperate for them.  Who knows.  Ok, rant over :)

Time since surgery: 4 mo, 2 weeks

B - Greek Yogurt

L - TBD (work lunch out)

S - Cucumber with greek yogurt ranch dip (1 fage + 1 packet of hidden valley ranch mix)

D - Sashimi

W/V - good

E - 30 min of spin

Have a great day everyone!
