What a succinct and well written post DC girl. I consider you a friend who gets me too. This site has been a lifesaver for me because I didn't personally know anyone who had had rny. You have had amazing progress and can thank your diligence for that. I too measure every meal I eat at home. You will be amazed at where you will end up weight wise. My original goal was 160 which seemed unattainable but I now maintain at 120 to 123 and have been here for 10 months. Congratulations and thanks for sharing your journey with us!

Congrats on the weight loss success and more importantly the mental success you are showing in tackling this major life change.  Wish I had had that much confidence in my 30's.

Thank you, Christine! What a sweet comment :) I have always had a lot of confidence but now it's through the roof lol. I wish everyone could experience the joy of feeling this fit and strong and healthy. It's addictive.

Congratulations on all your successes, both on the scale and off.  I printed out your post and have added it to my binder.  I'm pre-op, the process of losing the required pre-surgery weight.  And I am so grateful for the tips you gave....like not testing your pouch, Gwinnie Bee (I never even thought of that - what an excellent idea since our sizes will change so rapidly).  Getting to the Century Club in just over 4 months, and it really sounds like you have all the head stuff working right too.  Great job!  And Thank you!!!

Thanks, Diyana! As I have said before, my only regret is not doing it sooner. I wish I had found this site years ago and seen the success stories and taken the plunge. Good luck jumping through all of the hoops before surgery- I promise it's worth it!!!

DC girl,

I am new here and have followed your posts for the past few months. This was another fabulous post. You are my hero. I am so proud of you for doing so well and sharing with us. I am so scared about the gastric bypass that i need but today you have touched my heart and i'm feeling more confident that this is the right decision for me. Thank you and keep up the good work.

bless you,

Robin

Yay, Robin!!! Don't be scared - you have more of a risk from being morbidly obese most likely. As long as your surgeon is good, and you follow his/her plan, you will do great. I'm so glad I could make you feel even 1% more confident. If I had stumbled upon this site years ago, maybe I would have taken the plunge too. Well, better late than never! Good luck and come to OH for support! 😀
