Wow, just wow.... Some of the things you wrote indicated you were a difficult patient. If you worked in hospital, you should know that any issues with anesthesia, anesthesiologist addresses. I don't believe you seizure condition and medications were ignored. Unless you got a really really really louzy team of docs and hospital. But as a nurse you should see that way ahead of time.

I had a simple hernia surgery this year. I met with my surgeon, anesthesiologist, and hospital coordinator a few days before. ALL my concerns were addressed. This was not my first surgery, but first with that team of docs. But in the past - including my RNY

In the last 10 years I had a total of 9-10 surgeries/ procedures. Not counting colonoscopy or EGD. I had one (1) negative experience with one person in any the hospitals, or medical centers. Beside that one person (a very young nurse), considering all my procedures, everyone was supper helpful and accommodating.

Surgery can be very stressful. The whole situation can be very dramatic.

It may be the hospital and the doc, but chances that everyone in the hospital is a horrible person to you - may had to do with your attitude. BTW: my this year hernia surgery - I know I was a handful before they took me to an operating room, but the team understood that I was very stressed just before the surgery and were supper accommodating. I am pretty sure they noticed I was really stressed, and probably have me something before they took me to OR.

Not trying follow up instructions - how could they when you check yourself out ?

After WLS, heck - after any surgery- most of us had buyers remove.

I hope your attitude and how you feel gets better. Good luck.
