One Week Stall....
JUST KIDDING! I am exactly one week out from laparoscopic (from now on, I am going to type "closed" instead of that mammoth weirdly spelled word) RNY and feel pretty darn good. The first couple days home, I was on my appropriate dose of diuretic and lost 9 pounds super fast. Now it's about 1/2 to a pound a day. That's cool! Took me a while to get to my current size, it's not going to happen overnight!
Today I actually feel a little more tired than the past couple days, may have overdone things a little. But the weather was amazing and when the weather turns to spring in the Pacific NW a girl has to walk --- and I think the hike yesterday pushed it a little bit.
I use MyFitness pal to track my food, and I use the "notes" section to keep track of my meds including supplements and note my morning/evening temps and morning/evening pulse. It's handy, but man when I go back to work some of the minutiae detail is going to be harder with work, school and exercise! Oh well--how much sleep DOES a person need??
Anyone want to hook up with me on myfitnesspal, my username is marymo8387. Love to be friends with you! I have put in a couple little recipes and would like more food ideas.
Good news is: ENTERING THE LAST WEEK OF LIQUIDS! I have been on liquids since March 1st!
Have a great day!
Mary
Mary, it sounds like you are doing wonderful. So happy for you. I hear you on the nice weather and when it's nice out a "girl just has to walk" I am the same way. But I fear that even though it's Spring we have not yet experienced it. The snow is higher than the hottub, so sitting in the hottub looking out at the lake is a little hard when you can't see it for snow....LOLI hear the weatherman is calling for rain and a high of 6 for Fri so cross your fingers....I will be needing big ass rubber boots to go walking...LOL....
Keep up the awesome work, very proud of you!!
p.s I bet you are so looking forward to something other than liquids....I start my Opti next Mon....the 31st.
I am glad to here from you. I was hoping all was well after hour surgery. Walking and hiking in the pacific northwest is beautiful this time of year. I ran my first 5K in Birch Bay 2 years ago. I have a sister in the area, plus my daughter goes to college at WWU. Spring break this week so she came up to Alaska to see us.
It is real nice having my little family together after my scare last month which I am still having complications from. On the positive I am alive and at work.
I tried figuring out bow to add you on my fitness pal. So if you want to add me, I am AkDeeW. I would love to be your friend.
Take care of yourself, a little walking is good but please don't over do it. DeeW
Hi Marymo!
I hear you on the dreaming about eggs part! LOL! This is my last week of liquids too! Next week: pureed food! I can't tell you how excited I am!! I am going to puree everything I have in the house! lol I'm a Pacific NW (Idaho) girl as well! Where are you at? We both must have had our surgery the same week. I haven't been documenting my foods though. Maybe I should. Also, I've been weighing myself multiple times in a week, and getting discouraged when I don't keep loosing fast enough. Maybe I need to throw that damn thing out. Do you know if your body can actually stall during the first couple weeks??
