Healthy corned beef and cabbage?

I would love to cook up a corned beef and cabbage, but I can't figure out how to do a healthy version.  Does anyone have a good recipe?  I may have to stick with shepherds pie.

I have read a lot of recipes online and corned beef is really high is sodium. If you eat regular beef it is about the same amount of calories and fat you just have to look for a lean corned beef.I use a crockpot and toss it all in there.

When I was at the store the only corned beef I could find had between 14 and 25 grams of fat/serving.  Are you able to find leaner cuts?

I eat corned beef and cabbage all the time with no problem- just leave out the potatoes. It's way healthier than shepard's pie - enjoy!

I eat corned beef and cabbage all the time. I put a little vinegar on the cabbage.  I'm almost three years out though.  As with anything new, go slow. Corned beef can be stringy and cabbage is know for gas

Thanks....I really don't need the extra gas LOL.

My family out numbered me.  They refuse to eat the corned beef and cabbage.  Since it is my daughters birthday I should listen.  We are going with my version of Shepherds pie which has cauliflower instead of potatoes and much healthier.  I may even dye the cauliflower green.

I tried corned beef last year and the stringy texture bothered me. I couldn't seem to get it chewed well enough! I love the cabbage though!

Thankfully (or un depending on the situation)  not much bothers me.
