Ok, let's do a blood pressure poll
I am just a naturally curious sort, but the post on here earlier has me wondering what people's blood pressure was before they had surgery and what it is now (and whether you are under a year out or more than a year out).
My BP was normal even when I weighed 330 pounds (120/80 almost exactly 90% of the time unless I was ill). Since losing the weight (I am 6.5 years out) it fluctuates a bit more, ranging from 96-106 over 60-72, usually 104 over something.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
Before my RNY my bp could get as high as 170/100. I was on medication and off it 6 months post-op. Now it is 117/83.

Before I gained a lot of weight, mine was typically around 90/60. When I weighed 270, it was around 120/80. Now that I've lost the weight, it's back to about 90/60 again.

Before, 130/90.
Now, 90/60.

Highest weight was 475. RNY on 08/21/12. Current weight: 198.

Normal or low normal before RNY, regardless of the weight...post op 100-106/60-70..
I had postural hypotention...but now since diagnose of SAI (adrenal issues) and cortisone replacement it is only bad if I don't drink enough water or I don't get enough sodium in my diet. (Need sodium and other minerals to help adrenals)

Very interesting post..Mine pretty much is staying the same way since before my surgery. I am still on meds for my BP I am not sure I will ever be off of them.My blood pressure usually is in the 120 over 80s. I know high Bp runs in my family. My uncle and grandfather both have it and they might weight two hundred pounds between both of their weight.
Prior to surgery I had to take medication for high bp. Even then it was about 130/95. Now it is routinely 90/60. Also prior to surgery my resting heart rate was often in the 90s. Now it is usually 60.
